Q: What if I submitted a postcard already?
A: The Sketch Show team will enter in your submission and will receive confirmation once it’s submitted.
Q: How are the proceeds of the sold art processed?
A: The Palette & Chisel will process all sales by credit card and will retain 20%, the remaining 80% will be sent to the artist with a check sent by P&C.
Q: Where can I find the Urban Sketcher Manifesto?
A: Either at the Urban Sketchers website or from the Urban Sketchers Chicago Facebook page.
Q: Where can I deliver/pickup submitted pieces?
A: At P&C, from Tuesday, July 8 through Wednesday, July 9 from 10:00am-5:00pm and can be left with any P&C employee during that time. The show closes Sunday, July 20 and needs to be picked up by 5:00pm that day.
Q: When is the deadline to submit the form for art pieces?
A: 11:59pm by Sunday, June 15
Q: Can I volunteer to support the show without submitting a piece?
A: Absolutely! Just sent an email to the team at USkChicagoShowTeam@gmail.com
Q: Can the submitted piece be a print?
A: Only if it’s a digital urban sketch
Q: Does the submitted piece have to be sold?
A: No, there is a choice to be “Not for Sale” (NSF) in the form
Q: Can the team add the hanging element to my frame?
A: Unfortunately, no. There is equipment and time limitations so please bring pieces ready to hang.
Q: Can my postcard submission be framed?
A: Yes, but will be treated as a framed submission and must meet those requirements. Unframed, they will be carefully pinned around edges to prevent any holes.
Q: How will I know if my submission is accepted?
A: You will receive an email upon review of the form. Please allow a few days grace period. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email: USkChicagoShowTeam@gmail.com
Q: Do I have to submit a new form for more than 5 postcards?
A: Sadly, yes. We are limited by the form creation so submissions are grouped by 5.
