Liz Knight

Liz Knight is an industrial designer, artist and educator who has been sketching for over 40 years. She worked at Hasbro Toys, developing preschool and girls toys such as My Little Pony and Mr. Potato head. After leaving the corporate world, she founded Knight Design, a toy design and inventing group and worked with a range of companies, inventing and selling toy ideas.

Throughout her career, the ability to sketch quickly was critical to generating ideas and communicating those ideas to others. As an educator, she taught design principles at Rhode Island School of Design. The students learned the fundamentals of perspective, page layout and quick ideations in addition to making models of their concepts. She has taught several classes on Travel Sketchbook at MAXT Makerspace in Peterborough, NH and has organized a group of urban sketchers in the Monadnock Region.
