Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts is our host once again for Chicago Sketch Seminar!  Palette & Chisel is affiliated with Plein Air Painters of Chicago and is a supporter of USk Chicago, offering us use of their venue for our seminars in 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2022 (as well as the canceled 2020 seminar).  

The second oldest art organization in the United States, Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts offers a variety of classes, open studio opportunities and exhibitions for members and non-members alike.  Palette & Chisel’s roster includes classes in life drawing, oil painting, watercolor, fundamentals of art and sculpture.

Again this year, Palette & Chisel is giving us gallery space for our Urban Sketchers Chicago Art Show, which will run from July 7 – 17.  Also of interest to urban sketchers is an upcoming exhibition entitled “Cityscape Chicago,” running from September 2 – 26.  While not urban sketches, the works show views of Chicago that we are all familiar with, and have likely sketched ourselves!
