Stifflex is an Italian brand of planners, pads, and sketchbooks that started in 1997. Giuliano Mazzuoli’s idea for a hardcover book that is also flexible comes from his encounter with an antiquarian book in a library in Florence. Inspired by the unusual binding on the 18^th century book, which was remarkably sturdy, resilient, and functional, Mazzuoli designed a book that is both stiff and flexible – hence, Stifflex!
