British art supply company Winsor & Newton was founded in London in 1832 by chemist William Winsor and artist Henry Newton. The founders’ main objective was to create a consistent source of quality paints and brushes for artists. Today the company produces not only brushes and artists’ paints of all types, but also pens, inks, pencils and paper, in product lines ranging from student to professional quality.

Over its almost 200-year history, the company has developed a number of innovations.  And it continues to innovate and apply new technologies to improve their existing products and create new ones.

Winsor & Newton offers many resources to support and educate artists and has donated materials to many past USk Chicago seminar goody bags. This year, Winsor & Newton has generously donated a variety of items to go into our goody bags, including a fineliner and a watercolor dot card.
