Ken Czech

Ken Czech is a graduate of American Academy of Art, Chicago, where he earned a degree in Graphic Arts. In addition to the coursework required for his degree, Ken took as many additional courses as he could, including Life Drawing, Watercolor, Illustration, Lettering Design and Architectural Rendering.
Ken is employed as a retail display designer for International Paper, designing corrugated temporary displays for major clients including Sears, Jim Beam Brands and Chrysler Motors. Much of this work involves extensive marker-rendering design for client presentation boards; he also makes use of his freehand drawing sketch ability to create quick rough concept ideas for client meetings.
Outside the workplace, Ken continues to pursue his fine art interests with live model sessions for portrait and figure work. He has participated in fine art figure/portrait shows at Oak Park Art League and Evanston Art Center and has portrait and figure works in private collections across the country. He is a member of Urban Sketchers Chicago, Evanston Art Center and South Elgin art groups, and is a past member of Oak Park Art League. In December 2022 he conducted a portrait/figure workshop demo for Evanston Art Center.
Ken debuted his Marker Mashup course for the 2022 USk Chicago Sketch Seminar and is returning for a second year.
