Brush Moves Water, Water Moves Pigment
INSTRUCTOR
Matthew Brehm

DESCRIPTION
Instructor Matthew Brehm’s approach to creating luminous, clear, fluid, and dramatic watercolor sketches is encapsulated in the mantra “Brush Moves Water, Water Moves Pigment.” Learn techniques for effective brush and water handling and discover the magic that can occur when the water, and not the brush, is the primary vehicle for applying color and value to a page. Learn also to approach watercolor as a process of subtraction, reserving the blank page as the only light source in the sketch.
