Sketching Buildings for the Fearful

INSTRUCTOR

Isabel Santos

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for absolute beginners who have no architectural background and have trouble finding angles when drawing a building. Instructor Isabel Santos will present a series of exercises designed to eliminate fear and build confidence in sketching buildings.  Sketchers who are having difficulties understanding the concepts of vanishing point and perspective drawing will learn to easily find the angle of a building using a viewfinder called the Non-Architect Clock. Next, students will explore painting in big shapes before drawing with a pen.  Finally, a complex building or scene will be pulled together using the Jigsaw Puzzle approach by sketching one block at a time.  Bring along your courage, an open mind and your inner child for this fun beginner workshop.
